I hear lots of stories of caching widows. It also seems that a lot of people start out caching as a couple or family, but then the novelty soon wears off and it gets down to one member of the family who continues caching. So the question is, does your spouse/SO cache with you?

Actually the other way around -- LOL

We work in the same building
We usually ride to work together
We have lunch together almost every day
We spend most of our evenings together

In My opinion spouses/SOs need to have some differing interests or else you run out of things to talk about.

That's us, right there. I am the addicted one, my wife and kids join me on occasion, usuallly after me begging them. We thought it was going to be a great family thing, but I tend to want to go all the time, and (based on the last poll) I am the FTF hound, so they only join me when nothing else is going on.

And my wonderful wife would absolutely freak knowing that there are two simultaneous challenges going on (MM and SDoS) and a third soon on its way (Chile's whatever he is calling it). Add that to the fact that I am trying to get my D/T grid, calendar, and DeLorme grids filled in, plus keep finding 20 point Lonely Caches, and she would probably smash my GPSs. She definitely does not get the competetive part.

So, mostly just me!

In the summer of 07 in the ADK My wife went with me on a SHORT bike and hike to look for a cache. She fell down twice and skinned up her shins. Actually had the nerve to accuse me of making her go on a death march Rolling Eyes Since that time she has done 2 earth caches with me. So now its have a fun day see you when you get home Very Happy

I to am the addicted one. 1st. Mate loves to cache, but she does not cache as much. I LOVE caching with her, but seems we do not do enough caching together. We are planning a trip overnight to do the two northern Seaway Trail runs. But for now I am happy when ever she can join me. Now the dog is a differant story..... She too is a GREAT caching partner!!

My dog is my caching partner although I have not done much this past year. My husband comes along once and awhile, once both kids are off to college this fall I hope he will come along more often.

My husband comes with me once in a while to retrieve a cache that I have located but can't physically get to. He's gone with me a very few other times and actually found two caches. On vacation in February he reluctantly made a few detours to caches but stayed in the car most times while I went out and made the grab.

One adult daughter likes to go caching with me on the rare occasions she's home (she lives in Wisconsin) and is very good at finding the tough ones. The other daughter (Pennsylvania) has no interest, but my son-in-law went with me a couple of times.

So I usually cache alone, except in the summer when my sister/mentor Alaskan Bev joins me for a week or two. It really is more fun caching with someone you enjoy being with, as long as they are having a good time, too.

Maybe because we're only a year in, but we *only* go geocaching together. Sure, we haven't had a FTF & our numbers are relatively unimpressive, but still both have fun with it!

Name says it all. We got into caching as soething to do as a couple and rarely go go out without each other.
