Obviously, because of the proximity rule, I can't publish 500 cache pages for one location but could I still do exactly this? Could I fill a garbage can with 500 film cans and allow people to log the cache as a find for every logbook they waste their time signing and dating?
Just wondering... |

That's kinda like logging an event more than once because you did event only caches. Kinda like logging your own cache because you found it to be missing. If and when a cache like this were to appear, I think you would find most respectable cachers would log just one can and get one smilie!.

Okay, but in your own words: "Um, No offense to anyone, but why do people other than ST answer questions directed to ST? Personally - I only care for the answers that ST gives as they are usually the only answers that have meaning.."

Two questions:
- why would you ever want to do this?
- what kind of person would want to inflate their numbers like this?
While there is nothing in the guidelines specifically addressing this, the closest I would quote would be:
| Quote: | | The responsibility of your listing includes quality control of posts to the cache page. Delete any logs that appear to be bogus, counterfeit, off topic, or not within the stated requirements. |
In my opinion, multiple logging goes against quality control of posts. I would push back against such a cache and send it back to Groundspeak for assessment. |
